On-line Training Now AVAILABLE!!!!
|
Our training is client
specific, not generic. Before conducting a
training session, our instructors familiarize
themselves with the client's operation and
training needs. Objectives based on those
needs serve as the focus of the training
provided. In addition to covering objectives, the training is designed to be effective. Instructional methods used to assure effective training includes the use of hands-on exercises where appropriate, interactive discussion and problem sessions in addition to lecture presentations geared to the audience. In programs lasting eight hours or more, all of these methods are combined to make sure that attendees understand the skills and concepts required under the training objectives. The instructional staff is well-qualified to teach the subject matter contained in most OSHA and EPA regulations. Members of the GZI staff are selected as instructors because of outstanding communication skills and knowledge of the subject. The instructors continue to work in the field contrary to most government sponsored programs where instructors teach full time. GZI recognizes the necessity for on-going experience in the field to complement and enhance training quality. Members of the instructional staff have been key participants in several important training projects which GZI has taken great pride. Two instructors were under contract to present training for the California Department of Health Services , Toxic Substance Control Program. In that capacity, they provided air monitoring instrument training to DOHS/TSCP personnel. Twenty-one courses were presented under this contract. Recently completed, GZI instructors conducted 31 forty hour health and safety training courses for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. GZI is capable of presenting training courses from one hour long to forty hours or more. GZI has extensive training resources including a video training library and comprehensive instructional materials. GZI owns enough high quality equipment such as air monitoring instruments and respirators for hands-on exercises. We are also equipped with portable video equipment for recording field exercises and simulations. |
